Firmware Upgrades

All Autarco inverters are capable of remote (OTA) firmware upgrades when used with a capable monitoring device.

Firmware upgrade is controlled by Autarco and not possible for Dealers to execute.

Firmware upgrades are only possible with the latest monitoring devices with a “D” at the end.

As of end of 2020;

  • S2.WIFI-STICK-D.1

In early 2021, we plan to launch new monitoring devices

  • S2.GPRS-STICK-D.1
  • S2.GATEWAY-D.1 (WIFI, LAN, GPRS enabled gateway for mutliple inverters and weather loggers).

Yes. The new monitoring devices are backwards compatible with all Autarco inverters.

In most cases inverter firmware versions are updated due to adding new grid standards or making changes to existing grid standards in response to new regulations.

Our inverter is capable of being used on most grids in the World and adapts to the local conditions based on the grid standard selected.

Other reasons include;

  • New features like AFCI or consumption monitoring
  • Optimisation of MPPT algorithms
