Monitoring connection FAQ

During monitoring setup you tell Helios what specific inverters and monitoring adapters are installed for a given PV system. By entering and pairing the serial numbers for these items, Helios knows on which system and which inverter the received monitoring data should be allocated. We than start visualizing the data in MyAutarco for both Dealer and end customer, and use the monitoring data for performance analysis.

On the systems page in Helios, navigate to the ‘Asset Management’ button in the top right corner, and then to ‘Monitoring Setup’. Here you will be asked to enter the serial numbers for both the inverters and the monitoring adapters. Fulfilled serial numbers will be provided if available. If there are multiple inverters, be sure to match the inverters and monitoring adapters correctly.

Once the serial numbers are entered, Helios checks whether monitoring data is coming in and you can confirm the setup.

Serial numbers can only be provided when an items are fulfilled and the item fulfilment can be matched to the system. If items have been purchased in another transaction, serial numbers will not be available and you will need to enter these manually.

On the systems page in Helios, navigate to the ‘Asset Management’ button in the top right corner, and then to ‘Monitoring Setup’. Here you should enter the serial numbers for both the old monitoring adapter and the new one, and the date of replacement. Monitoring data will automatically be corrected so the right data will be shown in MyAutarco.

No, when you register the monitoring stick with Autarco, the existing data will be kept and visible on MyAutarco.

You have received an email after Autarco registered you as a dealer. If you have forgotten your password you can request a new one here.

On MyAutarco all relevant information regarding your PV systems is made visibile. You will find the actual power of these systems and the status of the inverters, but also the total yield per day, per month and since the installation of the system.

Yes, Autarco works with its portal MyAutarco, which is accessible from all devices.

Most Autarco systems make use of string inverters which are the most cost effective and reliable technology for power conversion. String inverters do not monitor at the module level.

If there has no monitoring hardware been installed initially, it is possible to add this anytime. Contact sales@autaro.com for further assistance.

Yes, please contact support@www.autarco.com with the name, phone number and e-mail address of the new owner. Autarco will contact the new owner and provide a new account for MyAutarco.

There are several possibilities that may cause no yield to be shown on MyAutarco.

First, check whether the inverter is working properly. In normal daylight conditions the display should read “GENERATING” and both the red and the green LED above the display should be on. If this is not the case, there might be something wrong in the inverter. Please refer to inverter troubleshooting for further instructions.

If the inverter is generating properly, there is most probably a monitoring issue. First you should make sure the system has been registered correctly. MyAutarco will give an error message if this is not the case. If the registration is correct and/or MyAutarco has been showing data in the past but stopped doing so, please follow the next steps below.

WiFi – Does your customer have a new internet provider and/or router? If so, the monitoring should be reconnected, follow the WiFi installation manual to do so. If this is not the case, your WiFi signal may be to weak for the WiFi-stick to establish a stable connection. It might be necessary to install a WiFi range extender.

LAN – Check whether the cable is connected properly, both in the monitoring stick and the router. If this is the case but there is still no data shown on MyAutarco, contact support@autarco.com for further assistance.

Z-Wave – If the orange LED on the gateway is on, there is no connection with internet. Check the connection between the gateway and the router and restart the gateway. If this does not solve the problem, contact support@autarco.com for further assistance. It might be necessary to install a range extender to establish a stable signal between the Z-Wave stick and the gateway.

GPRS – The SIM card may have stopped sending data or the GPRS-stick is out of range. Contact support@autarco.com for further assistance.

If the system has WiFi-monitoring, it has to be reconnected, similar to other devices on the network. The WiFi installation manual will guide you through the process. For other types of monitoring, this should not cause any problems. Contact support@www.autarco.com if it does.

Most likely there hasn’t been a stable monitoring connection in these days. When the monitoring is back online, the first message will hold the total yield of the previous days without monitoring, resulting in a high yield for that specific day.

After an inverter has been replaced, you have to register the new inverter with Autarco. If this has not been done properly, yields shown in MyAutarco may be incorrect.
