Editing an Installation Area
When a new installation area is defined, Helios will show you the main menu with the ‘Installation area’ tab open. Here you can give the area a custom name, for better understanding of the design and design results. You can also edit the values as defined in the wizard.
Note: Editing the area may result in your PV layout becoming invalid. You want to prevent this, so make sure the installation area is correct before moving on to the next design step.
You can also resize the installation area. Clicking the ‘Resize area’ button will let you:
- Move corner points by clicking and dragging them to a new location.
- Remove corner points by clicking them.
- Add corner points by clicking and dragging the midpoint of each line.
Note: For pitched roofs, resizing the area may need the gutter height to be updated. Click ‘Cancel’ to return to the main menu and undo any changes, click ‘Done’ to confirm’.
