Creating a System

Once a project is created you have two choices;

  1. Create a system
  2. Add items

The first and most common way to create a design: Click save & create a new PV-system

There are a few mandatory fields to design in the following step are which are:

  • Address: this is mandatory in PV-system in order to localize the correct house in remote survey. With the exact location, Helios generates a precise Yield calculation based on height and schaduw influences in that specific location.
  • End user: This data is not mandatory in this phase of the project, but can be entered for your own administration. This information will also be reflected in the registration procedure after physical installation of the system.
  • Now make a selection in: type of grid connection (1 or 3 phase) including the max. Capacity.
  • In system properties you can select preferred way of monitoring and a variety of options regarding maintenance contract and kWh guarantee. Such as the period of years in you would sign the guarantee for. When accepting the maintenance contract the calculated yield will be higher. (certain maintenance procedures required)

You now have multiple options to continue with your system design.

  • To draw a module layout on map layers, Click Save & Design On maps. Go to Designing a Layout for more help
  • To simply define the number of rows and columns, click Save & design with form

It is also possible to order materials individually if you do not wish to order a complete PV system or if you need goods to supplement an earlier order or as spare stock.

On the project page; Go to Edit -> Items and add the items and quantity you wish to purchase. Then make a quote.
