Registration Steps

In order to submit a registration, the following registration aspects need to pass the automatic validation performed by Helios. Some of these aspects can also be questionable, requiring you to leave an explanation in order to submit the registration.

After the registration is submitted, Autarco will verify it.

If the registration passes the verification, the kWh guarantee will be issued if one is requested.

If the registration does not pass the verification, it will be assigned back to you to fill in the missing information or make the necessary adjustments.

The following installation address details are required for registration:

  • Address line 1: street and house number
  • Postcode
  • City

The following end user details are required for registration:

  • Last name / Company name
  • A valid email address
  • Preferred phone number

A system in Helios needs a module layout designed either by using the classic form or design on aerial photos. Check the design page for more information.

During verification the module layout will be checked against the provided photos.

Inverter selection needs to pass the following checks:

  • Power
    • Passed if expected maximum power is below the inverter’s maximum AC power.
    • Questionable if the expected maximum power is between 100% and 120% of the inverter’s maximum power.
    • Failed if the expected maximum power exceeds inverter’s maximum AC power.
  • MPPTs
    • Passed if there are enough available MPPTs and DC inputs to make a valid string plan based on the current PV layout.
    • Failed if there are not enough available MPPTs and DC inputs to make a valid string plan.
  • Startup
    • Passed if the startup voltage of the inverters can be reached based on the current PV layout.
    • Failed if the startup voltage of the inverters can not be reached.

String plan needs to pass the following checks:

  • Minimum MPPT operating voltages
    • Passed if all MPPTs reach their startup voltage at high temperatures.
    • Questionable up to 2%.
    • Failed if more than 2%.
  • Startup voltages
    • Passed if all MPPTs reach their minimum operating voltage at high temperatures.
    • Questionable up to 2%.
    • Failed if more than 2%.
  • Maximum MPPT operating voltages
    • Passed if all MPPTs stay below their maximum operating voltage at low temperatures.
    • Questionable up to 2%.
    • Failed if more than 2%.
  • Open-circuit voltages
    • Passed if all MPPTs stay below their maximum DC voltage at low temperatures.
    • Failed if one or more MPPTs exceed their maximum DC voltage at low temperatures.
    • Note: this is a hard limit, as exceeding this maximum DC voltage can damage the inverter.
  • Maximum MPPT currents
    • Passed if module currents at high temperatures don’t exceed the maximum inverter’s current by more than 10%
    • Questionable between 10% and 20%.
    • Failed if more than 20%
  • Modules allocated to strings
    • Passed if all modules are allocated to strings.
    • Failed if not all modules are allocated to strings.
  • Equal-length strings
    • Passed if all strings on the same MPPT are equal in length.
    • Questionable if strings on the same MPPT differ by 1 module.
    • Failed if strings on the same MPPT differ by more than 1 module.
  • Compatible module groups
    • Passed if all strings on the same MPPT belong to the same module group, meaning they have the same nominal power, string group and orientation.
    • Failed if strings on the same MPPT belong to different module groups.

Questionable aspects can have an impact on yields, and can lead to lower guaranteed yields.

During verification the string plan will be checked against the monitoring data.

All installed monitoring adapters need to have sent at least one message in the last 24 hours. Check the monitoring setup page for more information.

The entered serial numbers need to be known and fulfilled by Autarco.

This aspect can become questionable when using a serial number that was fulfilled for a different PV system. In this case an explanation is required in order to submit the registration.

The number of serial numbers need to match the number of modules in your system design.

The entered serial numbers need to be known and fulfilled by Autarco.

This aspect can become questionable when using a serial number that was fulfilled for a different PV system. In this case an explanation is required in order to submit the registration.

In order to properly verify the installation and registration, Autarco needs the following photos.

Inverters

Upload at least one photo that clearly shows all installed inverters with all strings connected. On larger PV systems it’s recommended to upload multiple photos.

Solar panels

Upload at least one photo that clearly shows all installed solar panels. On larger PV systems it’s recommended to upload multiple photos.

AC wiring and connection

Upload at least one photo that clearly shows the meter cupboard with a connection for the inverters.
